When the Executive template fits

Choose Executive for director level and above, where your value is measured in outcomes at scale rather than tasks. The highlights block up top lets a chair or headhunter see board-level impact in ten seconds. Below that seniority it can read as overblown, so mid-career professionals are better served by Classic or Professional.

How it is structured

A concise executive summary: your leadership remit in three or four lines.
A career-highlights block: four to six one-line achievements with hard numbers (revenue, cost, headcount, turnaround).
Role history with a short scope line per role (team size, budget, remit) before the achievements.
Board positions, non-executive roles and qualifications to close.

Will it pass an ATS?

Making it work

Should an executive CV be longer than two pages?

Two pages is still the UK norm even at senior level. A third page is acceptable only for an extensive board history or publications, and it should be an appendix, not more prose. Density at the top matters more than length.

Do I need an executive summary and a personal statement?

One or the other, not both. At executive level the summary is a leadership remit rather than a jobseeker statement: what you run, at what scale, and the kind of mandate you take on.
